Scuffed Recordings co-owner Wager debuts his new alias on the label with a four-track EP exploring his breaks, electro and bass influences.

London-based Wager (formerly known as High Class Filter) has spent the past few years building momentum as a DJ, with festival appearances at Glastonbury and Parklife, gigs across London and the rest of the UK, and a long-running residency on Reprezent Radio.

At the same time, he has built an in-the-know following with his productions, which have appeared on labels like Moveltraxx, Futurebounce, and Four40, and seen support on BBC Radio 1, 6Music, Rinse and NTS.

As one-half of the Scuffed Recordings team alongside Ian DPM, Wager has built the label into one of the most respected UK underground electronic labels of recent years.

The ‘Vector’ EP marks the first release under the Wager alias, and marks his first return to Scuffed since the Elemental EP in 2018.

Across four tracks, Wager explores a blend of club-focussed influences – from the acid-tinged electro slammers ‘Bump’ and ‘Vector’, to the sludgy ‘Acetic’, and rave-meets-grime workout ‘Prismatic’.
